FAQ – Dog DAy Care
How are the dogs supervised?
Your dog will stay at my place, integrated in the daily family life. Except what you do not allow, your dog can freely choose where to stay in the apartment and what to do during the day. I will be with them most of the time, and the dogs will not be alone for more than two or three hours on some days. At night, they will sleep where they want, and will never be left unattended. Dog day care at it’s best.
How do you assess and group dogs to ensure compatibility and safety?
Having my own dog, my co-host and your dog’s future best friend, Alois, your dog needs to be social. Which means, that having a “leave me alone” attitude, or a “I don’t want to have you too close” attitude is absolutely okay. As long as your dog tells their needs in dog language, all is fine.
Reactive dogs with a risk or a history of biting will not be accepted. For reactive dogs, we have one VIP spot available, which means, in that case, your dog will be the only dog at home. Usually, we meet before you leave, so we can see how your dog reacts to mine and to see, that all works out. Convince yourself of a personalized dog day care experience.
What is your daily schedule like, and what activities will my dog participate in?
My daily routine in the dog day care adapts to the dogs. They get their walks, food, play time, cuddle time, resting periods, any training or enrichment activities exactly as they need. If they keep up your routine, then I will follow that routine. Having quiet landscape literally around the corner makes it easy to maintain your dog’s walk and play times during the day.
What health and vaccination requirements do you have for dogs attending daycare?
We require your dog to be fully vaccinated and does not suffer from any infectious disease. We are happy to receive their vaccination records, which can also be helpful in case they need to go to the vet.
Will you provide updates and photos of my dog while I’m away?
When you’re away, you will for sure miss your buddy. We simply connect via WhatsApp and you will get videos and pictures, as many as you like. Unless you do not want to be disturbed, then you can just enjoy your time knowing that your dog is in best hands.
How do we know the dog is fine in the time between your visits?
When I take care of your dog at your home and you are not sure, if they are okay between my visits, we have a solution. With your permission, we are setting up a dog cam, so I can check in from time to time and plan earlier visits in case the dog is uncomfortable. You will get the access details as well and can watch “Dog TV” as often as you like.
